Patent Attorneys
The partners at our office are admitted to practise as German Patent Attorneys, European Patent Attorneys and European Trademark and Design Attorneys. They are thus authorised representatives before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the German Patent Court, in patent nullity proceedings before the Federal High Court of Justice, the European Patent Office and the Office for Harmonization of the Internal Market in Alicante (Community Trademark and Community Design Office). We are acting in proceedings before civil courts, e.g. in cases of patent infringement suits, in cooperation with admitted attorneys at law.
All patent attorneys at our office have scientific degrees in natural sciences (physics, chemistry or biology) obtained from German universities and have for many years technical experience with inventions in various different fields.
Patent attorneys holding a scientific degree in physics are handling, among others, inventions in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction engineering, optics and software.
Patent attorneys holding a scientific degree in chemistry or biology are handling, among others, inventions in the fields of inorganic and organic chemistry, metallurgy, biochemistry, biotechnology, process engineering, pharmaceutics and medicine.
Beyond the technical know-how necessary for dealing with inventions and the legal knowledge required for the formulation and defence of protective rights, we have substantial experience concerning opposition proceedings, litigations, expert opinions and agreements.
